Never thought I'd be so satisfied with different seats than the ones Nissan put in my 370Z.?hey have all the bells and whistles (both heated and air conditioned seat bottom), electric slide and tilt, nice side bolsters and black like the interior of the car. B??, when I saw the Braum racing seats in the Maroon leatherette, WOW, I fell in love with the styling and the color.
I figured, how often do I move the seat back and forward or adjust the tilt using the switches. And, here in Southern California I've never had occasion to use heated seats and for the year and a half since I've had the car, I've never used the air conditioning in the seats.
As to comfort, because the Braum seats are so well made, I would rate them as good as or better than the OEM seats. I say better because the support on the seat is much more than stock and I don't 'slosh' around as much in corners. The back support is excellent (and I know about back support because I too have a 'bad' back). Installation is very straightforward. There are 4 bolts (per seat) that hold the stock seats to the floor of the car. Undo those, unplug the airbag plug and any other plugs under the stock seat (in my case the heater/air conditioning motor and the slide/tilt mechanism) and out comes the drivers seat. Same thing on the passenger side with the exception of an additional plug for the passenger weight sensor pad.
Then, using the same bolts that you just took out of the stock seats, plop the Braum racing seats (after installing the provided slide rail/handle and the seat bracket onto the seat) into the car, bolt them back in and enjoy the awesome experience of your new Braum racing seats.

For this installation, Bill and Ben use TMI Sport II upholstery and the TMI Sport II foam, which are two of TMI's most aggressive, performance inspired upholstery products, yet still maintain that vintage look. The first step includes disassembly of your original seat.
Once the original upholstery and foam has been removed, you can install your new TMI foam, which fits around the outer edge of the seat. You will then need to install listing rods into your new upholstery, then attach it onto your seat and foam. Securing the upholstery to the back of the seat and the underside of the seat bottom is the last step to complete this installation.
